{Magic of the Mundane}

Today, I am joining Sofia over at Sofia's Ideas for Magic of the Mundane. I so love this idea because it totally falls in line with my desire to get back to simple. It can be a picture, a poem or song, a short video or anything else that celebrates the Magic. So often, we get caught up in "where we're going" that we forget to look at the beauty of "where we are."

Home....that word has some very powerful magic. It can be a building, a place, a person or all of the above, but it is truly where the heart is.  I spent the weekend away from home.  I had an amazing time with a wonderful group of ladies. The location was perfect.  The women were incredible.  The time away was needed and thoroughly enjoyed.  And after it was all said and done, coming home was complete bliss. Just to be with my people, in my building, in my place.  There is much to be said for coming home.

  1. We take all our people with us when we go to the beach... so "home" is there and it is hard to leave lol Glad you had a good get-away!

  11. OMGosh! I was just having this conversation with the kids the other day. My husband & I both love that feeling of coming home. That feeling, after a long day out, pulling into the driveway, unlocking the front, door, being greeted by Coltrane, putting our stuff down, taking off our shoes, ALL of that!!! And I was wondering if the kids felt that way too. It was interesting to hear what they had to say.
    Melissa, this is soooo perfect for {Magic of the Mundane}. PERFECT! Love it!

  12. I know exactly how you feel. coming home from our hawaii trip was that way... it felt good to be home. but then... with the fires and heat here... I wondered (and still do) if this is meant to be my home. I long to be near water... like the beautiful beach in your picture. I'm glad you had a wonderful time!!!

    hugs
