And your Sunday breakfast sounds divine! I'm going to have to jump in some day- I am completely incapable of cooking breakfast. It's true. Zuppa Toscana, meatloaf, roasted turkey, tofu, lemon tarts, apple pie- sure. No problem. Fried egg? I'm a lost cause!

steal as many moments as you can before he heads off to college!Laura Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01162858276873428099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7408938213733515998.post-89604729384263807002012-02-17T22:00:11.619-05:002012-02-17T22:00:11.619-05:00I read this post and immediately thought of my fut...I read this post and immediately thought of my future!! We make Sunday morning breakfast special in our house, too. My boys have come to expect this weekly. (Of course, they are usually waking US up to cook!!) My husband is THE BEST breakfast cook, so he usually takes charge on this meal. I can only imagine how much my boys will eat when they are your boys' ages!! At 5th and 2nd grade now, they already have quite the appetite!~Kelly~https://www.blogger.com/profile/11246237478029913535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7408938213733515998.post-61385570411196300992012-02-14T01:56:01.306-05:002012-02-14T01:56:01.306-05:00Enjoy your little family as much as you can before...Enjoy your little family as much as you can before one flies the coop.. I miss having my kids at home. I remember hearing them come home late and hearing the door close and knowing they were all here. And big breakfasts.. and all the comings and goings.. the best years of ones life. And as the mom of two teenage boys still home I have to say that I don't think they ever fill up! :)Tracey ~ Cloverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11575854515384481573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7408938213733515998.post-10417716491836301152012-02-13T11:27:53.707-05:002012-02-13T11:27:53.707-05:00Melissa,
Would you believe that my post was going...Melissa,

Would you believe that my post was going to be about breakfast too? LOL! ;0

We have more in common than I even originally thought! ;0
When my children were still going to school (rather than homeschool) I always made it a point to have "Special Family Breakfast" on Sunday mornings. I would be at the store as soon as it opened, get the bakery goods while it was hot out of the oven, fresh flowers, etc. and come home to make a giant spread for everyone. Everything went onto serving platters, carafes, etc. We would also have our family meeting and family show & tell at this time.

Reading your post reminded me of how much I looked forward to and cherished that time with my lovies. I think I have been telling myself that every breakfast is "special" now that we can take our time, since we no longer have to rush out of the house by 7am every morning. But, its simply not true. You know what? I am reclaiming "Special Family Breakfast" on Sunday mornings. ;0

Thank you so much for sharing your "magic" and I look forward to reading and learning more from you...Sofia's Ideashttp://sofiasideas.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7408938213733515998.post-26576398554466388102012-02-13T10:01:08.827-05:002012-02-13T10:01:08.827-05:00Such a simple (and delicious) magically mundane mo...Such a simple (and delicious) magically mundane moment.
